The Universal Workstation is designed for any type of vehicle with ANY TYPE PASSENGER SEAT. The simple single point mounting system utilizes the bolt which holds the seat to the floor. Simply loosen the bolt holding the seat in place and slip the forked bracket in place and retighten. The entire stand then clamps to the forked bracket’s mounting stud. The stand has multiple joints for adjustment in any direction. This highly versatile design allows you to place your laptop in an infinite number of positions. Some positions can affect the stands stability. In this case or in conditions that warrant it, an optional brace can enhance the stability of the stand. Another important tip is to simply adjust the seat cushion firmly against the stand using the back and forward seat adjustment. The seat cushion then helps minimizes vibration and shock while adding stability to the stand.

Q. How do I supply power to the cooling fans?

A. Both models come standard with cooling systems which will greatly extend your laptops life and improve its performance. The Truckers Workstation uses twin fans while the Universal uses a single fan. The fans are powered by your laptop. Simply plug the USB plug in to any USB port on your laptop. The fans have been extensively tested for safe maximum life, cooling capacity and low electrical drain. There is no risk to your laptops USB port. The electrical drain may affect your battery life if battery power only is used. However, if your laptop is powered by an inverter there is absolutely no effect on the laptop.

Q. Will the Workstation interfere with a rider in the passenger's seat?

A. No. Both Workstation mounting systems adjust forward, rearward, inward and outward from the passenger seat. Once you have positioned the unit where you want it, simply tighten the bolts and you are set. In addition, the cradle that holds the laptop pivots and swivels in all directions for a universal adjustment.

Q. Will my Workstation accommodate any laptop?

A.Yes. On the Trucker’s Workstation™ the sides of the tray and the backrest adjust to fit any size laptop. On the Universal Workstation the tray has multiple adjustable clamps which grasp the laptop firmly. On the Universal Workstation you will want to use a laptop under 7 lbs for long haul trucking.
